 Hina Khan (born in Srinagar, India on 22 October 1987) is a Muslim actress and singer who plays the main role in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (Akshara Maheshwari Singhania) an Indian TV drama shown on STARPLUS.
Hina Khan was born to a Muslim family in Srinagar, J&K and later moved to Delhi to do her management studies. As she had no film background and was not from any cosmopolitan city, she had to struggle a lot to get into the acting world. She was always an average student and more interested in painting and singing than her studies, but had a burning desire to become an actress. Amitabh Bachchan and Kajol are Hina Khan's all time favourite Bollywood stars.
