Biography:
Imran Khan born as Imran Pal in 13 January 1983 as an Indian American film actor. He is the nephew of actor Aamir Khan and producer-director Mansoor Khan. Khan gained popularity for his debut role in the 2008 film, Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na.
Imran Khan was born to Anil Pal, a Bengali Indian-American of mixed Bengali-English origin, and Nuzhat Khan in Wisconsin, USA. His father works as a consultant at LinkedIn in Silicon Valley. His parents divorced when he was one and a half years old and he replaced his surname Pal with Khan.  He is the nephew of actor Aamir Khan, director Mansoor Khan and the grandson of Nasir Hussain, a noted director and producer. In India, he studied at Bombay Scottish School but left Scottish after standard 4 and moved to a boarding school in Ooty.
Imran Khan made appearances as a child artist in his uncle Aamir's films, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988)and Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander (1992). Both times he played the role of a young Aamir Khan. He aspired to be a director, as that was his original plan before he entered Bollywood as an actor. Khan joined Kishore Namit Kapoor's Acting Institute in Mumbai.
His debut Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na with Genelia D’Souza, in early 2008 released amidst a lot of fanfare. The film was produced by his uncles Aamir Khan and Mansoor Khan. It went on to become one of the biggest hits of the year and Imran Khan acquired the status of a heartthrob and garnered great reviews for his acting prowess. His second release in 2008 saw him shifting from the calm, light-hearted Rats to a darker role as Kabir in Kidnap which starred Minisha Lamba and Sanjay Dutt.
Imran Khan became engaged to his long-time girlfriend, Avantika Malik, on 16 January 2010 in the farm house of Avantika's family in Karjat near Navi Mumbai.
