Shafaat attended Lahore Grammar School and is a graduate of Kinnaird College, Lahore. She had no initial intentions of becoming a model or joining the entertainment business. Her discovery was accidental. A fashion photographer saw her at a party and made her a modeling offer, she initially refused. After taking permission from home, she started modeling.
