Story Of 3 Idiots:
The story of 3 friends who chose to study engineering their own way. Two friends Farhan (Madhavan) and Raju (Sharman Joshi) embark on a journey to find their third musketeer Rancho (Aamir Khan). On the way they re-discover a long forgotten bet, attend a funeral that turns out to be quite unexpected and find a wedding that they must crash but more importantly they begin an internal journey down memory lane.
A journey about their friend, the whacked out, irrepressible free-thinker, Rancho and the years they spent together in the hostel of one of the best engineering colleges in India. Through their college years Rancho, Farhan and Raju faced everything from Rancho's romance with the chirpy Pia (Kareena Kapoor) to their college director (Boman Irani)Viru Shahastrabuddhe's (fondly called Virus) wrath! Suicides, mugging, ragging, competition, innovations and the rat race and then one day, Rancho disappeared. Who was he? Where did he come from? The idiot who changed their lives for the better is lost now and they're on a journey to find him.
